We’re delighted to share some fantastic news about one of our major projects - the refurbishment of the Dunbeath children’s playpark! In partnership with the Dunbeath Community Centre, we’ve been hard at work raising funds and applying for grant funding to bring this much-needed project to life. Thanks to the generosity and support of various organisations and individuals, we’ve now achieved our full funding target!
A Milestone Reached
Securing the funding for the playpark refurbishment marks a significant milestone for us and the community. While there are still funder terms, conditions, and some legal matters to conclude, this accomplishment brings us one step closer to giving local children a modern and safe space to play, explore, and grow.
Moving Forward
We’re in ongoing communication with Kompan, our chosen playpark equipment supplier, to ensure everything moves forward smoothly. As the project progresses, we will continue to keep you updated on key developments and timelines.
Grateful for Your Support
This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the generous contributions of several organisations. A special thanks goes out to the Caithness Voluntary Group (CVG) for their invaluable support, as well as the various groups and funders who have helped make this project a reality:
SSE/Beatrice Offshore Windfarm: £50,000
SPR Caithness Community Fund: £7,500
Boulfruich Wind Farm: £5,000
Duke of Portland Charitable Trust: £500
Camster Fund: £20,000
Caithness & North Sutherland Fund: £20,000
National Lottery Awards for All: £8,632

Stay tuned for further updates as we move closer to revitalising Dunbeath’s playpark into a space filled with fun and joy for our community’s youngest members!
