Dunbeath Primary School pupils have been putting their entrepreneurial skills to the test, and their hard work has resulted in a generous donation to the Dunbeath & Berriedale Development Trust—a wonderful example of young people making a real difference in their community.
The ‘Make 5 Grow’ Challenge
As part of the Virgin Money ‘Make 5 Grow’ initiative, P5-7 pupils were given the challenge of turning a small investment into a profit. With enthusiasm and creativity, they set to work, coming up with innovative ways to raise money—from bake sales to selling handcrafted goods they made themselves.
At the end of the initiative, teams were invited to use the profits for local benefit, and we’re delighted to share that two of the teams chose to support the Trust, contributing an amazing £150 to help fund future community projects.
Meet the Teams
The Honey Bears – Molly, Iona, and Tobi – donated £100
The Chocolate Cakes – Torran and Georgie – donated £50
To celebrate their achievement, Tobi, Torran, and Georgie proudly presented their donation cheques to our Chairperson, Deborah.
A Heartfelt Thank You
We would like to extend a huge thank you to Dunbeath Primary School and every pupil who took part in this challenge. Your creativity, generosity, and community spirit are truly inspiring, and your donation will make a meaningful difference in supporting the Trust’s work.
Well done to all involved!
